arghh we're in the high 90's too 100 F over here and it's sweltering!!!!! I'd love some respite right now..i'll just have to grit my teeth and wait for the fall..*Sigh*
It's very hot here in Malaysia too!Sometimes the weather can go up to 40 degrees. But you can't hate Okinawa. It's a beautiful place. My aunt is from there but she stays permenantly in Malaysia now.
Now that I think of it, since it has been in the low 90s this week, I remember it getting up to like 104 last year. I know folks in Blythe and the desert areas of Cali and Phoenix are prob laughing, but I've lived in CA deserts where it reaches close to 120 everyday and people only go out at night but I think I would rather deal w/that again than humidity. What's a girl's hair to do?? haha. Curls are out of the question. I can't imagine being even further south like Malaysia!
Wow, it's been a month since I posted this and this temp in the picture and the "feels like" temp are now the nightly temperatures. Every year I forget that it isn't really summer until those deafening-loud cicadas come alive. It's soooo hot and humid over here!

Hate Okinawea? For the rest of my life! I wasted ten years of my life there having to endure the sweltering weather, the all-pervading boredom and attending a school run by emotionally retarded nuns, incompetent Filipinos whose grasp of the English language bordered on the pathetic and bored officer's wives who could hardly wait to get back home and resume their advanced courses in alcoholism. As a kid "living" there, my only pleasures were firing bottle rockets into the chicken coops and pig stys near our "home" in south bay view in ojana at 3 am and breaking into some of those big tombs to see what was inside.
