Staying late at work again. That's an Oracle import finishing up there in the background. Just thought I'd share in my misery ;) Posted by Picasa

Hi Daisuke,

Thanks for visiting my blog. It doesn't go into Okinawan culture too much I don't think but hopefully you will get a sense of what it's like here. I hope you're enjoying your time in NY!

Hi,

I'm Ed from California. I like your blog. I still don't know why, or get it, about the 'blog' name. it's just a web page thing? Oh well. The last time I was in Okinawa I remember the rocky beach had these big holes, like a jakuzi. Holes from the war bombing. I dip in and the waters hot! so I get out and cool down in the ocean. That was many moons ago. I'm planning my next years vacation for Japan. I can't make up my mind, either Kawasaki or Okinawa. I like the idea of staying in a Minshuku.

I wonder, can you tell me is it hard to retire in Okinawa? On one of the smaller islands? I'm asking for a friend.

erm...I don't understand what you don't get about my blog name. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you?? A definite possibility because I'm pretty dern tired as I sit here and read this :) All blogs have names as far as I know and all blogger-run blogs have the name at top. And I am an American in Japan so I thought that was an appropriate title. If I'm totally missing your point please E-slap me. :P Permission granted just this once.

It's not hard to retire in Japan, no matter where you are as long as you are married to a Japanese national and have a house or have enough $$ in the bank so a Jp bank will grant you a loan for a mortgage. Some losers have married a jp girl just long enough to get their permanent visa and then divorce her. THis way they can stay in Japan single, forever.
