TC-1....boring! Bring it on!


Even though this storm is steadily moving North because of the front coming down from China, it is still pretty windy outside with moments of near-calm. It hasn't rained too much yet and it has been sunny on and off. The bases are currently in TC-1. All on-base stores close but we are still allowed on and off base. Japan is so accustomed to storms that businesses only close when the commuter busses stop running. Even then there is nothing from keeping people from going out and about. What's kind of funny is seeing news reports on NHK because they always show people who are trying to beave the outside with an umbrella. heh. Click on the picture to enlarge. Posted by Picasa

We just slipped from TC-1 to TC-1C but I still don't see much of a difference.

Hi! No I didn't close it...I just started a new job and I'm 10X busier than I was before. No time for Internet during the day so I only began updating this once my kids were asleep and I wasn't totally exhausted from work :) It's great though...I'm having a lot of fun!

Apparantly, we went into TC-1E in the middle of the night because we are in TC-1R right now. The wind woke me up a couple times but then I realized my bedroom window was cracked open the tiniest bit. No wonder the wind was howling so loudly! Anyway, no damage outside.

Now we are in TC-SW. W00t! Freedom! It's still very windy outside but now people have 2 hours to get back to work. Luckily today is a holiday for us anyway!

We barely passed into the outer band of the storm. bummer!!!
