AFN and the Winter Olympics
FFS. For the first couple days of the Olympics, minus the opening ceremony (So I've heard) I've had to watch the live Japanese coverage. On the Jp channels I've seen snowboarding, mogul, ski jump and a couple other events that I can't remember at the moment. What's been on AFN for the past two full days??? Curling!!! Curling?
So right now I happened to tune into AFN and what do I see? A bunch of skiers cross-country skiing in a small spiral and then they get down in the prone position and have to shoot 5 targets with a rifle. WTF is that?
So thanks AFN. No real skiing, no figure skating, no luge accidents, just crap. Pre-televised crap. I knew there was a reason I studied Japanese over here. Well back to NHK.
